Digital Trends For Product Comparison

January 25th, 2009
These days the shops and malls are awash with electronic goods of innumerable varieties, models, quality and values, specifications and of course prices. If you want to buy a camera or computer or say a phone you have a real serious problem on your hand! A problem of plenty! Technology news and technology reviews are now a great source of customer relief. These work in a three-pronged manner of attack; from the expert’s point of view, from the users and from product ratings.Expert’s Point of View. Technology reviews give expert opinions on every one of the products which have been addressed. There could be as many as more than 50,000 such products spread over more than 700 varieties covering nearly 1000 magazines and websites. These reviews from experts are global. Besides, these experts are true professionals in their fields of expertise in which they have expressed their views. Finally, these technology reviews are based on actual field trials involving a very large sample size in terms of the equipment models and types.

Users’ Point of View Technology news and technology reviews respect the customers’ views. These views are placed alongside those of the experts. Though customers’ views are not as thorough as those of the experts they do serve in giving a balanced view of the products. Besides, since very sharp and clear images of the product are also placed, a very realistic and aesthetic appreciation is possible.

Product Ratings. Technology reviews provide product ratings on a percentage scale from 0 to 100 that is from worthless to excellent. An additional rating could indicate the performance value in test or the level of recommendation.

The Homepage. The homepage would indicate the product ratings and the number of reviews on display. It would be a breeze to navigate through the website which would also give the supplier details, their links as well as their indicative rates. These rates would be real-time so that an accurate comparison could be made.

Technology news and technology reviews are a professional and accurate guide to the buyers of electronic goods today.

A free Sony PS3 - are these offers for real?

January 25th, 2009
The title sums up my thoughts when I first heard about companies giving away free, current generation games consoles. I had to investigate this concept further. I had to have a free PS3! Being an analytical kind of guy, I first decided to see how such a model could possibly stack up in the real world. I mean, if the figures didn’t add up then surely it wasn’t for real. Well, my investigations into the phenomenon of giving away the latest gadgets proved that the seemingly impossible was, in fact, entirely possible. In reality it’s just a marketing concept. I will go into how I actually got my free PS3 a little later in the article but first we’ll have a look at the mechanics behind it.Before you are entitled to receive your free games console the provider of the free consoles requires you to take out an offer with a third party company. Most of these are high-street retail names and many of the offers are free, so long as you remember to cancel after any trial period. Also, as well as completing an offer yourself, you need to get a few of your friends to also complete an offer. The number of friends varies depending on which gadget you desire but a PS3 for example is ten. So that’s eleven offers taken out by you and your friends which means the company providing you with your free PS3 gets paid eleven lots of commission for referring you to the site where you took out the offer. Say, for example the site pays £30 commission for each offer, that’s £330 in total received by the company ‘giving away’ the PS3, and they would probably buy them in bulk for much less than the official £299 selling price. So, satisfied that this all made sense, I set about getting my very own free PS3.

I started off my quest at gadgets-4-free.co.uk where I chose my free PS3. If you’ve already got a PS3 then you can also choose from a free Xbox or free ipod. You can even get all three if you wish! I signed up to the offer with my email address and postal address and completed one of the fore-mentioned offers. I chose an offer from a company called Lovefilm where you get free DVD rentals by post. I just had to remember to cancel it after two months. Next, I persuaded ten of my friends (with the lure of a free PS3 for themselves) to also complete an offer. This took me around six weeks to sort out and I could log into my account to see who had signed up and who I needed to give a gentle push to. Once the tenth had signed up I simply sent through my request for the PS3 and within three working days it was delivered, free of charge, to my front door. I’d already bought a few games in advance so I could get playing straight away.

So I hope this article has persuaded you that a free games console or gadget is entirely feasible. Just get yourself across to gadgets-4-free.co.uk now and claim your free Ps3 or free Xbox, or both!
